According to data from Knight Frank, in the first half of 2021 around £6bn was invested in UK warehousing – more than double for the same period last year, and 54% higher than the same period in 2018. With yields on industrial property reaching 3-4%, it is little wonder that institutional investors are snapping up units faster than they can be built.
