Speculative warehouse to go ahead in Sheffield

Texas-based developers are to build a 366,000 sq ft speculative warehouse in Sheffield.

Trammell Crow Company, headquartered in Dallas and still new to the UK shed scene, has acquired a 20-acre logistics site in Sheffield.

The plot at Shepcote Lane, close to junction 34 of the M1 motorway, will see a speculative warehouse sit alongside an existing 456,000 sq ft unit let to fencing manufacturer Betafence.

The area has recently attracted tenants such as Clipper Logistics, Pretty Little Thing and Great Bear.

“Sheffield is one of the most sought-after strategic logistics locations in the UK, with high demand set against very constrained supply,” said Mike Forster, Director and Head of UK logistics for Trammell Crow Company.

CP Partners represented Trammell Crow Company on the acquisition.
