A former Peel Ports site in Ellesmere Port is to be redeveloped as a 700,000 sq ft speculative logistics park.

Firethorn Trust, has secured planning permission to regenerate the 42.5 acre brownfield site as the Link Logistics Park.

Construction is due to commence on site close to junction 7 of the M53 motorway, in January 2022, with completion expected within 10 months by late 2022.

Paul Martin, Development Director at Firethorn Trust, said: “Link Logistics Park is a hugely exciting addition to our expanding portfolio. We are continuing to work closely with the local council to ensure the swift delivery of a high-quality scheme that will bring significant and long-lasting economic benefits to the wider region.

“Delivered as net-zero carbon in construction, with a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ specification, we look forward to transforming this brownfield site into a modern and sustainable industrial development, which is expected to attract significant interest from major occupiers.

The scheme will have a power supply of up to 25MvA, and eaves heights of up to 25m.

Agents are CBRE, B8 Real Estate and Moriarty & Company.
