Spectrum Logistics Park wins planning approval

Planners have approved plans for a 400,000 sq ft mid-box logistics development on a Birmingham site.

The 29-acre Spectrum Logistics Park will see eight units developed by the St Francies Group, and its local partners, the Richardson family. The site, a former Pilkington Automotive and GKN Aerospace manufacturing plant, is at Eckersall Road, Kings Norton adjacent to the A441 and A38.

The units will range in size from 25,000 to 70,000 sq ft. Demolition and site clearance is scheduled to begin in May once the existing occupiers have moved out, and the first units will be ready for occupation from September 2022.

Richard James-Moore of letting agents JLL said: “This will probably be the first new development in Birmingham to offer a BREEAM Excellent accreditation giving occupiers truly sustainable options”.

Joint agents are Savills.
