Pets at Home agrees national depot

Pets at Home has agreed to create a new national depot on a 52-acre M6 motorway site.

The retailer has pencilled in a deal with developer Stoford that could see it occupy 670,000 sq ft at the Redhill business park close to junction 14 of the M6, off the A34 at Stafford. The facility could grow by a further 100,000 sq ft and will also include a 50,000 sq ft office block.

AQ planning consultation has now begun. Neighbouring occupiers include Culina and Screwfix.

Pending the outcome of the online public consultation, a planning application is expected to be submitted to Stafford Borough Council in September. Construction could start on site in 2021, subject to planning consent, with completion pre fit-out anticipated during 2022.

A planning application is expected to be submitted later this month.

Earlier this summer Pets at Home signed up for a 141,000 sq ft warehouse nearby at Campbell Road, Stoke on Trent in a deal with with landlord LondonMetric.
