A super-green 200,000 sq ft speculative warehouse is to be built close to Gatwick airport.

Panattoni, which claims to be the largest industrial real estate developer in Europe, has submitted plans for a 199,672 sq ft speculative, last-mile logistics development in Crawley.

Developers say the unit on a 10 acre site at Manor Royal Business Park could be split into two – one of 134,000 sq ft, the other of 66,000 sq ft.

The 10-acre site ar Manor Royal Business Park is five minutes from Gatwick airport and junction 10 of the M23 motorway.

The warehouse – or warehouses - will be built to a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ and an EPC rating of ‘A’ to prioritise energy efficiency and reduce operating costs, electric vehicle charging points, 15m clear internal height and up to 2.5MVa of power.

Panattoni is aiming to begin clearance of the site in July and to complete the units in autumn 2023.

Letting agents are JLL and Savills.
