Supply Chain Coordination Ltd, trading as NHS Supply Chain, has signed for a pre-let of the 393,000 sq ft Widnes 400 warehouse at Gorsey Point, Cheshire.

Widnes 400 is the largest speculative development in the North West since 2020.

Cushman & Wakefield advised the occupier on the acquisition.

Located off Gorsey Lane in Widnes, the unit is regional motorway network as well as the rail freight terminal at Widnes, Garston Docks, the port of Liverpool and Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The site is also near to the access point to the new Mersey Crossing, linking Runcorn and Widnes.

A second unit of 257,000 sq ft has been let to logistics provider Kammac; and a third, of 54,000 sq ft, is due for completion in November this year.

The developer is Mirastar.

“The supply of warehousing within the region remains significantly constrained, and we have seen high levels of interest in the developments at Gorsey Point for some time. Both units were let ahead of completion, signifying the ongoing strong appetite from a range of occupiers for big box industrial space in the North West,” said Jonathan Atherton, Industrial and Logistics Director at Savills Manchester.
