Leicestershire mid-box development breaks ground

Construction work has begun on a 332,000 sq ft M1 corridor mid-box warehouse scheme, as demand for mixed-sized units shows no signs of easing.

Harworth Group is developing a Bardon Hill, near Coalville, Leicestershire, close to junction 22 of the M1 motorway.

The 58-acre site will see six units from 28,000 sq ft to 116,000 sq ft. Completion is due by late summer 2022.

Local occupiers include Amazon, Eddie Stobart and DHL.

Demand for the units is expected to be strong, given both the developmentā€™s proximity to an existing concentration of industrial and distribution units with very low vacancy rates.

Construction is being undertaken by Winvic, with marketing by Mather Jamie, Savills and Burbage Realty.
