A new 94,800 sq ft speculative warehouse is to be built in Goole.

The site is close to the new Croda distribution facility and the neighbouring £200m Siemens plant.

Developers Trebor will submit a planning application soon for the 6 acre site.

“We will bring forward this unit for occupation in 2022. The location is excellent, with strong links to the ports, motorway network and railhead, the unit being suitable for a wide range of uses.  Planning will be submitted shortly,” said Trebor managing director Bob Tattrie.

Letting agents are Holder & Co and Gent Visick.

Developers and investors have taken a growing interest in Goole since the Humber Freeport was announced.

The Humber Ports bid, encompassing ports of Grimsby, Immingham, Hull and Goole, was brought forward by Associated British Ports (ABP), the Humber LEP and the Greater Lincolnshire LEP.

“There is no doubt that Goole is perfectly positioned, both geographically and economically, to take advantage of a freeport status for the Humber region,” said Mike Heydecke, chief executive of Sterling Capitol, speaking earlier this year.
