The 14 million bottle facility, said to be Europe’s largest dedicated wine short, is now under construction at Goodman’s Andover Business Park.
The facility, which has input from Winvic, will be temperature and humidity controlled.
Whilst Berry Brothers is based in St James Street, London, they have a smaller warehouse and outlet in nearby Basingstoke.
Work on site will be completed ready for the warehouse to become operational in summer 2022.
The wine merchant’s business, an increasing proportion of which is online, was growing rapidly before the pandemic. It is also reviewing the direction of its wholesale operation.
