Cygnia Logistics signs for 197,000 sq ft warehouse

Cygnia Logistics has signed for a 197,000 sq ft warehouse at Northampton’s Brackmills industrial estate.

The new Golden Triangle new lease will not, however, mean much change for Cygnia who already occupy the warehouse as a sub-tenant from Office Depot.

They have been on the site since 2015.

As part of the complicated three-way deal Office Depot has terminated its lease with landlord Aviva.

The Office Depot lease had been due to expire in 2024. Cygnia have taken a new lease of 15 years.

The 20-year-old warehouse has a 15-metre height clearance and twin yards with depths of 60m and 80m respectively.

Ben Lomax, director of real estate at Aviva Investors, said: “This deal demonstrates continued demand for well-located distribution space from businesses looking to strengthen their supply chains at a time of heightened uncertainty.”

Aviva was advised by MK2 Real Estate and Cygnia was advised by Clews & Co.
