A 93,000 sq ft last-mile logistics scheme has been launched in central Birmingham.

The 18-unit development at Lochfield Road, Aston will be completed early in 2022.

Urban Express Park has units ranging in size from 3,370 sq ft  to 15,408 sq ft. One unit has been pre-let and the rest will be available on a leasehold basis from March 2022.

The site is close to Junction 6 of the M6 motorway.

The site is also outside the Birmingham Clean Air Zone which charges vans £8 a day and HGVs £50 a day to enter.

John Sambrooks, Partner at Gerald Eve, said: “Aston represents a prime destination for businesses and we are pleased to be working with Northwood Urban Logistics to attract occupiers to the scheme. The flexibility in terms of size, together with the scheme’s strong green credentials, will undoubtedly meet the market demand we are seeing.

“The area has undergone significant investment in recent years, attracting occupiers such as Hydraforce, Salts Healthcare and Guhring, and the site’s position close to the city centre and J6 M6 makes it a strong location for last-mile delivery, as well as being outside the city’s new ‘Clean Air Zone’.”
