Amazon closing in on Lutterworth warehouse

Amazon is closing in on a 411,000 sq ft Midlands warehouse as the online retailer prepares for post-pandemic growth.

Amazon is understood to be close to taking the 400,000 sq ft warehouse, with 10,000 sq ft of offices, at Magna Park in Lutterworth, the latest Amazon warehouse to open in the golden triangle.

CBRE are advising Amazon, but declined to comment.

Last week Amazon revealed plans to recruit up to hire 10,000 additional UK roles as it prepares to open additional customer fulfilment centres in both the north and south of England.

Amazon have agreed a series of deals since the turn of the year including a new 316,000 sq ft Bristol unit for a new parcel delivery hub.

The Logicor distribution facility is close to junction 1 of the M48 at Western Approach, Bristol.
