The sale of UniCarriers to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has completed.
The notification was received by means of the following press release from UniCarriers:
"As notified on July 31, 2015, as of today, all shares of UniCarriers Holdings Corporation (“UniCarriers” headquartered in Kawasaki, Kanagawa; Akira Shiki, President and CEO) have been transferred to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Forklift & Engine Turbocharger Holdings, Ltd. (“MFET” headquartered in Kawasaki, Kanagawa; Atsushi Maekawa, President and CEO) which is a 100% owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (“MHI” headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Shunichi Miyanaga, President and CEO) and Mitsubishi Nichiyu Forklift Co., Ltd. (“MN” headquartered in Nagaokakyo, Kyoto; Hideaki Ninomiya, President and CEO) .
"Equity interests will consist of MFET holding 65.0% and MN holding 35.0%, making UniCarriers a sub-subsidiary of MHI."
We await with interest news from the new organisation of its marketing stregy for its brands, namely Mitsubishi, Atlet, TCM and, of course, UniCarriers.
