UniCarrier shareholders sell stakes to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries & Mitsubishi Nichiyu Forklift

The shareholders of UniCarriers Holdings Corporation, including Innovation Network Corporation of Japan and Hitachi Construction Machinery Co, have agreed to sell their entire stakes to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Mitsubishi Nichiyu Forklift Co (MN).

MHI will own 65% and MN will own 35% of UniCarriers. The announcement, which came from UniCarriers communcations team, states that MHI and MN will work together to establish a global leading position.

MHI, MN and Unicarrier aim to establish a preparatory committee to formulate management policy and strategy to grow the combined group to a world-class material handling player.
