In a “first” for a UK logistics specialist, Ruth Waring of Labyrinth Logistics Consulting has gained BRC Consultant status for the Food storage and Distribution Standard. Ruth is now uniquely placed to advise and audit companies specialising in food transportation.
After gaining approval Ruth said: “I’m so pleased to have joined this select group of consultants - demand for this certification is increasing all the time and the challenges for logistics businesses deserve expert consideration and advice. This is a key competitive differentiator for logistics companies seeking to win business in the food sector”
Normally the province of food experts without a background in logistics, BRC Global standard consultants are certified as experts in a particularly exacting standard covering aspects of ISO 9001:2015, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene. Consultants undergo rigorous background checks and training to ensure the integrity of the standard is maintained.
Labyrinth has already worked with John Raymond Transport to prepare the company for their success in adding the BRC Global standard for Storage and Distribution to their industry standard achievements.
John Raymond Transport’s Geraint Davies said: “Labyrinth’s work with us in preparing for the BRC inspection made the whole process run smoothly and gave us complete confidence that we hadn’t overlooked anything that could trip us up - it was vital to our preparation”.
