A tyre business has signed up for a 92,670 sq ft Staffordshire warehouse, the latest the firm’s streamlined supply chain.

Tyre wholesaler Kings Road Tyres has agreed a 15-year lease on a 92,672 sq ft distribution warehouse at the Centrum 100 business estate, Fourth Avenue, Burton Upon Trent, said national commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH).

The company is investing in a new, modern and streamlined network of logistics centres – including its new Midlands hub at Centrum 100. The new structure includes the major warehouse hub near Burton and three distribution centres in the south east, south west and north. These will be supported by two smaller satellite centres.

Adrian Bader, KRT group managing director, said: “We have decided to radically upgrade our entire distribution network to take advantage of the benefits available with the most modern buildings, logistics, infrastructure and systems.”

LSH’s Birmingham and Commercial Property Partners acted on behalf of owners Helical. Centrum 100 occupiers include Boots, DHL, Clipper Logistics, Palletforce, Coors, Waterstones and Argos.
