The expansion plans of the TCM forklift brand across UK markets has been outlined at a conference attended by its UK dealers, during which it also announced its intentions to exhibit at IMHX 2016.
TCM is the dealer-driven brand within the UniCarrier group, designed to offer localised service and support with reach-back into a global organisation for access to world-class resources and technology.
It had been announced last autumn that the TCM brand was to disappear under the UniCarrier umbrella, but a strong enthusiasm from within the group's dealer network led to a change of strategy. The TCM brand has now been repositioned as one which its dealer network can sell. The UK will be the first territory to reintroduce the TCM name, its Pamplona-built forklift range painted silver to reflect its Nissan heritage. Other European territories will follow in due course.
Dealers from around the UK met at a two-day summit at Chateau Impney, Droitwich to hear how TCM, in partnership with its dealer network would create a distinctive presence in the UK market. Utilising its experience and strength of creating strong relationships with customers, providing excellent personalised service, together with a product offer of durable forklifts for industrial applications, the dealer-customer centered strategy offers customers greater value and operational efficiency.
TCM also confirmed its presence at IMHX 2016, demonstrating to its dealers its support of the TCM brand within the UK.

As the UK is seeing a continuing uplift in demand for forklifts, TCM through its distributor network will offer a full range of products from diesel, electric and LPG counter-balanced trucks to reach trucks, stackers and VNAs.
Dealers heard senior UK and European directors outline a deliberate strategy to provide a completely new forklift offer to the UK market, with sales and support channelled entirely through a comprehensive dealer network. Its core promise being a value-based proposition: providing the broadest choice of European specification products that offer excellent value and low cost of ownership. The brand was summarised under the strapline "simply reliable".
Dealers will offer a highly experienced service and parts network that have access to a global technical and product development resource. The summit announced a major advertising and promotion campaign to build brand recognition and to support targeted sales growth through closely aligned local and national marketing initiatives.
