Stoford Developments and Gallan Group have announced that the 1.2m sq ft redevelopment of a key employment site at Stonebridge Cross in Liverpool. The announcement comes after Everton FC’s decision to build its new stadium at an alternative site, Bramley Moore Dock.
Everton had been considering two sites – Liverpool 57 at Stonebridge Cross and Bramley-Moore Dock at Liverpool Waters – as the club plans to move from its current home at Goodison Park where it has been for most of its 125-year history.
Dan Gallagher, joint managing director of Stoford Developments, said the decision means that the development of Liverpool 57 can now go ahead, bringing major investment and hundreds of jobs to the region, in partnership with Liverpool City Council.
The recent completion of the estate road combined with the existing planning consent leaves the site ready for immediate development.
The 55-acre site has detailed planning consent for 1.2 million sq ft of B8 accommodation. It offers immediately deliverable design and build solutions on freehold or leasehold terms, with industrial and warehouse units ranging from 86,000 sq ft to 1.1million sq ft.
