Shortage of good quality small units in North West grows

A Lancashire site is to be redeveloped for 49,000 sq ft of potential logistics floor space as the shortage of good quality smaller units in the North West grows.

Acting on behalf of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP, CBRE’s Manchester Planning and Development team has secured detailed consent from Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to transform a former munitions factory site on Roman Road into a 49,000 sq ft employment scheme.

The 4.5 acre redundant site in Lower Darwen is situated in a Primary Employment Area so is well suited for the development of employment buildings. The planning permission allows for the creation of three separate buildings totalling 49,000 sq ft, to be utilised for research and development, light industrial or storage and distribution use.

CBRE advised. WHR are letting agents.
