Scala Consulting’s Dave Howorth completes The Logistics Awards 2018 judging line-up

Scala Consulting Group executive director Dave Howorth has been appointed judge for the Environment/Sustainability category, completing the judging line-up for this year’s The Logistics Awards, to be held in London on Thursday 20th September.

Howorth, who featured in the 2018 edition of The Logistics 100 – the definitive list for the 100 top logisticians in the UK – will critique all entries submitted alongside a great line-up of judges including regulars such as recently departed Barclays Corporate Banking Head of Transport & Logistics Rob Riddleston, CollectPlus and Yodel’s Prof. Neil Ashworth, Aricia’s Kirsten Tisdale and Logistics Partners' Lynn Parnell.

New panel members this year include Think Logistics and CILT UK’s Beverley Bell CBE, Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) Alan Craddock, and Wincanton’s Marcos Hart. The full judging line-up can be found here.

The fifth annual The Logistics Awards will be held at the historic venue London's Shakespeare's Globe

Howorth is a senior figure within Scala, a specialist and independent supply chain consultancy business, where he personally focuses on the Food & Drink sector.

Howorth has been a supply chain professional for more than 30 years. Starting his career in logistics within both third party and own account environments, working for and with businesses such as Mars, Pepsico and Comet, he developed into broader and more senior supply chain roles, notably with General Mills, one of the world's largest food businesses, where he was Supply Chain Director for Northern Europe.

The finalists for this year’s The Logistics Awards will be announced on Thursday 21 June. The event, which will be held at The Swan, Shakespeare’s Globe, will reveal the winners of all 13 awards categories including Operations (sponsored by Toyota Material Handling UK), Growth, Innovation (sponsored by Continental Tyres) and Safety (sponsored by Mentor) awards categories.
