An 18-acre Yorkshire distribution site is to be sold for housing, offices and retail.
The A61 site at Pannal, near Harrogate, was once the Dunlopillo Latex Foam Factory but today the site is a multi-tenanted industrial facility with a strong warehousing element.
The site will become vacant in September 2016. The 18 acre parcel includes an additional area of pasture land fronting onto the A61 where a new dedicated access will be built directly into the site.
The Residential Development team at CBRE Leeds acting jointly with Gent Visick are advising on the sale.
Outline planning permission has been granted to demolish the existing buildings and transform the site with new homes and employment space via B1 office use and A1 retail units. This is in addition to a new care home element which has already been sold to award-winning Vida Healthcare who will start on site in 2016 building a state-of-the-art care facility.
Rupert Visick, Managing Director at Gent Visick, said: “We have seen unparalleled demand for development sites on this favoured South side of Harrogate. Easy access to Leeds via either road or rail combined with the quality of the environment and proximity to excellent schooling will ensure take up is brisk.”
