Freight forwarder, Rhenus Logistics, has welcomed experienced logistics professional Tim Doggett as its new general manager, North West. The role will see Doggett take responsibility for the organisation’s sales and operations at its Trafford Park branch in Manchester and Liverpool branch in Frodsham, Cheshire.

Most recently a regional director with Europa Worldwide Logistics, Doggett’s career spans more than 25 years and takes in brands including UPS, RH Stevens and H&S Handel und Transport. Doggett has lived and worked in various countries, including Germany and Switzerland, delivering freight forwarding solutions for road, air and sea and brings this experience with him to the role at Rhenus Logistics.

David Williams, managing director of Rhenus Logistics UK, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tim to the team. His extensive experience and knowledge of the market will be a real asset to us as we continue to expand our operations. With new routes launching across Europe on a regular basis, we are committed to delivering targeted and flexible solutions to all of our customers.”

Tim Doggett, general manager, North West, of Rhenus Logistics UK, added: “Rhenus Logistics is a truly global company that strives for excellence and offers high quality services in all modes of transport. The addition of new routes to our already substantial European schedule will further the position of Rhenus as a leader in the logistics sector and it’s a very exciting time to be joining the team.”

A married father of two teenagers, Doggett lives in Cheshire and enjoys photography, kayaking and fishing. He has raised more than £5,000 for Cancer Research UK through his charity ‘Float my Boat’. Doggett is also co-founder and trustee of the Bosley Disaster Appeal, which he helped to set up following the fatal explosions at Wood Flour Mill in July 2015, which has raised nearly £200,000 to date.
