Prologis has won planning permission for a 585,000 sq ft warehouse scheme at Hemel Hempstead as demand for Greater London floorspace soars.
Dacorum Borough Council has given the green light to plans for a 35-acre site close to junction 8 of the M1 and 4 miles from junction 25 of the M25.
The scheme’s seven units will appeal to the near-urban logistics market serving Greater London.
Prologis acquired the Maylands Gateway site from the Homes and Communities Agency this March. The site will see £2m of infrastructure improvements.
Paul Weston, Senior Vice President, Prologis UK, said: “Hemel Hempstead is an ideal location for many of our customers and there is already a great deal of interest in the site from potential occupiers. We have been investing in Hemel Hempstead for almost 20 years and will continue to be an active member of the local community.”
