Prologis wins outline planning permission for Hams Hall

Prologis has won outline planning permission for an 887,000 sq ft development at Hams Hall, Birmingham.

Known as Prologis Park Hams Hall, the new scheme is the final large-scale development opportunity at Hams Hall, an established multi-modal site next to Junction 9 of the M42 motorway and close to the M6 toll, M6 and M5 motorways.

The new park will also have access to the nearby intermodal rail freight terminal at Hams Hall, which offers connections to the east coast and channel ports as well as to Scotland and continental Europe through the Channel Tunnel.
Prologis expects to start infrastructure work early next year, in preparation for construction of the first buildings, which are scheduled to begin in summer 2018.

Alan Sarjant, senior vice president, Prologis UK, said:  “This is a highly supply constrained market, so we are delighted that we have been able to bring this site forward.  There is strong demand for both manufacturing and distribution facilities in Birmingham and a great deal of interest in Prologis Park Hams Hall.”
