A 198,110 sq ft of West London warehousing has let to a data centre operator as competition for logistics floorspace heats up.
Prologis has let two adjacent facilities totaling 198,110 square feet at Prologis Park West London in Hayes to VIRTUS Data Centres, the UK’s fastest growing data centre provider.
The two units, which provide 116,637 square feet and 81,473 square feet, were built speculatively and completed earlier this year. In August, Hillingdon Borough Council granted planning permission for change of use of the buildings to operate as data centres.
“With the hunger for connectivity and data growing exponentially, our data centres continue to play a vital role in enabling the UK and Europe’s digital economy,” said Neil Cresswell, CEO of VIRTUS Data Centres.
JLL, Savills and DTRE acted for Prologis.
