The units are the first to be constructed on a 35-acre site that Prologis acquired in March this year. The speculative scheme can meet a range of occupier requirements, from 11,000-169,000 square feet, with two of the new buildings have been designed to be subdivided.
Work onsite will start this month and completion is scheduled for autumn 2018.
When complete, the park will provide up to 585,000 square feet of industrial and distribution space, with the potential to attract over 750 jobs.
Prologis Park Hemel Hempstead is close to Junction 8 of the M1 and 4 miles from Junction 21 of the M25, providing immediate access to Greater London and the wider national motorway network.
Andrew Griffiths, managing director, Prologis UK, said: “Since we first acquired the site, there has been a great deal of interest in Prologis Park Hemel Hempstead, so we are delighted to announce this new development.”
Prologis Park Hemel Hempstead, which is at Maylands Gateway, forms part of the town’s new Enviro-tech Enterprise Zone.
