Following a successful career spanning almost two decades with Prologis, Maurice Dalton, Head of Project Management in the UK, is to step down from his leadership role and will be retiring from the business at the end of May 2020. His successor, Simon Cox (pictured), currently First Vice President of Project Management and UK Sustainability Officer for the company and a speaker at the SHD Logistics Conference earlier this month, will take over the role with immediate effect, whilst Maurice will provide ongoing technical, commercial and procurement advice to the business.
Maurice joined Prologis from Gazeley in 1999 and has achieved many notable successes during his career, including the development of the Cerberus curved roofing system in conjunction with CA Group. This system, now used on all Prologis buildings in the UK, reduces unused space within the roof zone above the haunch and the heating or cooling requirement and associated CO₂ emissions within the warehouse, as well as allowing for an increase in the usable floor space.
“It has been my privilege to head-up such a talented team of people and I am proud of everything we have achieved together,” Maurice reflects. “Simon has worked within my team for the past 13 years and possesses all the right capabilities to lead and motivate the UK team going forward.”
During the next 12 months, Maurice will provide coaching and support for Simon in addition to focusing on the company’s mutli-storey offering and the development of new business opportunities.
