Power-Lift, a provider of bespoke lift tables and bespoke scissor lifts, has launched a brand new pink pallet truck that makes light work of heavy lifting for women.
Nigel Roberts, director at Power-Lift, said, “Hand pallet trucks are the backbone of British industry and allow for the safe and easy movement of good across factory floors, warehouses and supermarkets. Despite this, these valuable pieces of industrial kit are not very easy on the eyes or female friendly, so we have created one for the girls!”
Complete with a two ton capacity, these hand pallet trucks were originally ordered in green, but due the language barrier in China they were delivered in hot pink, causing many men within the industry to shun the new designs and refuse to use them. Mr Roberts from the firm who specialise in pallet handling, added, “It seems that our new pink shipment has caused a bit of a buzz within the industry - who would have thought that an innocent mistake with the ordering process would have resulted in such a unique product?”
With 90 hot pink trucks currently available, the new shipment is yet to be added to the website, but orders are being taken by telephone.
Boasting a three position trigger, full bushing in key areas, exit and entry rollers and conforming to BSEN1757-2:2001 standards, this new hand pallet truck is unlikely to get lost on the warehouse floor due to its bright exterior and its ‘Sheila’s Wheel’ style design means that it is unlikely to get stolen.
Mr Roberts added, “Although this truck is a bit of fun, it also has a rather serious side. Able to prevent muscular skeletal disorders when used in conjunction with a pallet lift table, this combination can prevent both undesirable consequences of heavy lifting and bending - something laid out in the Health and Safety Executive's (HSE) guidelines.
