Yorkshire Greens, subsidiary of frozen food business d’Arta UK, has applied for permissio0n to build a 162,000 sq ft cold store on the A614 near Driffield.
The facility, predominantly intended for frozen peas, will be powered by anaerobic biodigestion from food waste.
However, there are concerns about site drainage/flood risk and great crested newts.
No date has yet been set for a decision by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
