Planners approve Crewe development as demand for near-urban logistics units grow

Planners have approved a 164,000 sq ft small-box warehouse development at Crewe’s A5020 University Way as demand for near-urban logistics units grows.

Cheshire East Council has approved the application from Total Developments (NW) Ltd for a 164,000 sq ft development in four units.
The 9.3 acre site is next to an existing Total development at Orion Park. It is understood that Total will undertake speculative development.
Like most urban areas, the supply of units under 50,000 sq ft is now acute. Work on site is due for completion in the second quarter of 2018.
