Peel Logistics and funding partner British Airways Pension Fund have let their recently completed speculative development at Revolution Park, Chorley to GA Pet Food Partners.
GA Pet Food Partners, the own label dry pet food business, is to take a 185,191 sq ft shed.
GA Pet Food Partners is Europe’s largest super premium dry pet food manufacturer and already has a 200,000 sq ft distribution centre on Revolution Park as well as a manufacturing facility 10 miles away in Bretherton. The additional facility offers GA greater scope for future expansion.
It is the second-largest letting to complete in the North West this year and was the last available big shed opportunity on the popular Buckshaw Village development.
The unit fronts Chorley’s Buckshaw Avenue and comprises 171,417 sq ft of warehousing space, with 12,500 sq ft of offices.
Jeremy Greenland, chief executive at Peel Logistics, said: “The deal justifies our decision to speculatively construct the unit and demonstrates our continued confidence in the prime North West shed market.”
Peel Logistics were represented by JLL, DTRE, Moriarty & Co and Littler & Co.
