New Divisional Director takes the helm at Spaciotempo

New Divisional Director takes the helm at Spaciotempo

Spaciotempo has appointed a new Divisional Director to help build on the firm foundations the company has laid in the temporary buildings sector.

John Drake will be driving the business forward and developing the market share of the UK’s leading temporary buildings supplier.

John brings with him a wealth of experience across both sales and operations as well as a vast knowledge of the temporary space industry.

Previous roles held by John included Divisional Director (Hire) at Premier Interlink Ltd, Director of Temporary Buildings and Services at Showforce, based in the Middle East, and both Regional Director and Managing Director (Events) at the Elliott Group.

He has also held high-profile positions at companies including PepsiCo and Nationwide Platforms.

John said: “I am delighted to be leading the team at Spaciotempo, which has firmly positioned itself as the market leader in the temporary buildings sector. The company has gone from strength to strength over the years and I am committed to not only maintaining its success but to building on it.

“Our structures truly are a cut above the rest, providing a high-quality yet cost-effective solution to customers. Spaciotempo prides itself on offering bespoke, turnkey buildings that are tailored to meet the requirements of individual customers and a personal service that is second to none.

“With Brexit on the horizon, there is no doubt that the country is facing challenging times ahead but I strongly believe that temporary buildings are the answer to many problems in terms of expenditure and space. I am looking forward to getting that message out and providing an answer to the problems of many businesses in the weeks and months ahead.”

Spaciotempo’s storage solution proves popular with thriving bathroom firm

A flourishing firm which has seen employee numbers soar from four to 140 in just six years has teamed up with Spaciotempo.

Easy Bathrooms has grown significantly since 2012 and now boasts 28 showrooms nationally.

Due to its impressive expansion, the business found it urgently needed additional warehouse space to store its stock.

It was seeking a quick and cost-effective solution to its predicament so it turned to the UK’s market leader in temporary buildings for help.

A dedicated Area Sales Manager visited the company’s head office at Birstall, Batley,  to carry out a detailed site survey and discuss Easy Bathrooms’ specific requirements.

The company followed Spaciotempo’s recommendation and within weeks, a TempAstor-style building, measuring 15m wide by 30m long with an eave height of 4.2m, was in place.

Easy Bathrooms was so impressed with its first structure, featuring lighting, one roller shutter and two personnel doors, that it ordered another within a matter of weeks.

Distribution Manager Andy Hopkinson explained: “Easy Bathrooms has grown rapidly since it was set up six years ago and, as a result, we needed to house more stock on-site and take additional deliveries to meet customer demand.

“We wanted a quick and straight-forward solution which Spaciotempo was able to provide. The warehouse suited our needs, so much so that, following the initial installation, we decided to have a second building where vehicles could load and unload goods.

“Prior to this, drivers were delivering stock to the main warehouse which they accessed via the customer car park. As we have become increasingly busy and now receive around 250 deliveries every day, it was far from ideal. The drivers can now come onto the yard and deliver or pick up goods under shelter and out of the way of our customers.”

The Neivalu-style building has three roller shutter doors which the vehicles can drive up to, one personnel door and LED lighting.

The structure, measuring 10m wide by 20m long with an eave height of 6m, also features a thermos roof and gables.
