Multiwood eyes ambitious growth plans by uniting with Access Group

Leading UK specialist in Italian kitchen doors and accessories, Multiwood, has joined forces with supply chain technology specialist, Access Group, to enable its ambitious plans for 2018.

Recent years have seen the business celebrating exceptional growth, and in line with that growth, the Multiwood team are ensuring future operations continue to support their reputation for customer service and reliability. With planned expansion in the pipeline, the high-end kitchen expert needed a specialist software solution that would help streamline processes and meet their demanding standards.

The firm chose Access’ Delta Rapid solution for the whole range of benefits it would offer. These included a seven-week implementation time and its functional warehouse management system (WMS), which can be easily integrated into Multiwood’s existing back office system, providing the tools needed to fulfil more orders.

Offering real time visibility and traceability, Access Delta allows users to view processes and orders so they can make proactive decisions backed up by data, and increase levels of customer service.

Access Delta also offers RF scanning, an efficient, paperless solution that strips out any duplication of data entry and eliminates the need for manual warehouse operating systems. Minimising human error caused by data entry, the tool helps businesses make big savings on time and money. In addition, Access Delta also allows for real time integration into DX courier systems.

Other benefits include a ‘drag and drop’ feature for easy allocation of space, enabling live four-wall inventory.

Multiwood director, Caroline Allan, said: "We needed a rapidly deployed solution that could be implemented into our operations without any costly or risky bespoke code development. Access Delta Rapid allows us to provide the business with the realtime visibility and data required, whilst streamlining the operations within the warehouse. The new system will also see us minimise the amount of paper produced and allow us to continue to provide our customers with a high quality of service.”

Zaeem Batavia, WMS specialist at Access Group, added: “It’s fantastic to be working with Multiwood to help it achieve its impressive plans for expansion. Our Delta Rapid system is a scalable solution that can be implemented quickly and easily in just seven weeks with minimal disruption, making it perfect for multi-site rollouts and businesses of all sizes. It also has the added benefit of being able to store all information in one central system rather than on many spreadsheets.

“The Delta Rapid team are experienced in integrating with third party applications throughout the UK. We will be using our tried and tested standard integration templates to integrate with Multiwood’s existing Pegasus Opera system, creating a rapid solution offering proven time and cost savings.”
