ASOS, the global destination for fashion-loving twenty-somethings, has announced the appointment of Mark Holland to the newly-created role of Chief Operating Officer.
A member of ASOS’ Executive Board, Holland has worked for ASOS for six years. His most recent position was Supply Chain Director, where he oversaw ASOS’ Global Trading, Customer Care and Supply Chain functions.
Mark’s new role will see him continue to lead those departments but also add the management and delivery of ASOS’ significant transformation projects to his responsibilities.
These include the forthcoming launch and automation of its new Atlanta warehouse; the move to a new retail planning and merchandising system, Truly Global Retail; further automation at ASOS’ Berlin fulfilment centre; and improvements at its London HQ and Customer Care Centre in Leavesden. He will continue to report to ASOS’ CEO, Nick Beighton.
Nick Beighton, CEO, ASOS said, “Mark’s well-deserved appointment is a reflection of the significant contribution he has made to the business over the last six years and the skills he possesses, which will be invaluable to us as we position ourselves for further growth.”
ASOS’ multi-year investment in technology and logistics continues to drive results and is key to sustaining the strong momentum across the business. Last year, retail sales grew by 26% and profit was up 28% at £102m.
