Marexport has taken a 154,000 sq ft Felixstowe wartehouse from Wincanton as the loigisitics giant continues is property shake-out.
Wincanton, represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has taken the East Anglian Freight Terminal in Felixstowe to Marexport.
The deal is part of an ongoing review of the 200 sites Wincanton has under management across the UK and Ireland. The letting follows others recently carried out by Wincanton in Ellesmere Port, Wirral and Dublin.
Marexport, the global logistics firm, has agreed a new five-year lease for the 154,000 sq ft.
Stuart Murray, industrial director at Savills, said: “This deal forms part of Wincanton’s ongoing strategy to extract the greatest value from its sizeable property portfolio. We are also in the process of supporting Wincanton with the acquisition of new, strategically located distribution space to accommodate its expanding customer base.”
