Manutention, once one of Europe's 'big three' shows alongside IMHX and CeMAT, is no more. After suffering from a decision to run every two years rather than the traditional three that is in tune with the materials handling industry's product cycles, the show has now been folded into end-of-line packaging exhibition Emballage and is now called All4Pack Paris.
The two exhibitions had been previously co-located since 2010. All4Pack Paris will focus on packaging, processing, printing systems, and intralogistics solutions, and cover the EMEA region with a particular focus on the African continent.
All4Pack Paris will take place in November 2016. The three big shows used to take place in consecutive years on a tri-annual basis, after a gentleman's agreement was struck between their respective organisers. With first Manutention and then CeMAT switching to bi-annual events, they now find themselves largely out of kilter with the exhibitors they aim to attract.
After deep consultation with its exhibitors, the organisers of IMHX* - which takes place on 13th-16th September 2016 - announced the show would remain on a tri-annual cycle, thus reflecting the typical traditional product cycles of the fork lift truck manufacturers that comprise a large proportion of the major exhibitors.
