Peel Ports’ Port Salford site is to see a 61,000 sq ft logistics depot and HQ. A planning application submitted in July is due for a decision next month. This will be the second relocation after Culina signed up for a 280,000 sq ft facility.
General Mills is the first to join Culina as a user of the site. The new occupier, understood to be a leading international freight forwarder, will relocate from Trafford Park.
In a separate planning application the first phase of the £100m Carrington Moss development has been unveiled by local developer Himor. The 1,660 acre site is expected to include several million sq ft of logistics floorspace but the first phase of the £100m development concentrates on housing.
