Developers are proposing nearly 500,000 sq ft of new Black Country logistics floorspace.
A Manchester developer is behind plans for a 382,000 sq ft Wolverhampton logistics scheme.
A planning application has been made for an 18 acre site once occupied by the Alliance paper group. The developer is Hollytame, a business associated with MCR Property Group.
The scheme is said to be worth £22m to the local economy. A separate application has been made for a neighbouring 10-acre former playing field sites where 194,000 sq ft is proposed in two units. The site, which has been empty for some time, is in the Black Country enterprise zone and the applicant is Maizelands Limited and Arringford Limited.
The site is just 1.5km from junction 2 of the M54 motorway.
