We asked Andrew Griffiths - member of the Logistics 100 - about the most important decision he has made this year.
Kirsty Adams: What is the most important decision you have made this year?
Andrew Griffiths: The most important decision we made this year, was to continue developing speculatively. At the time of the Brexit referendum, there was a hiatus in new development. Customer demand remained steady but the speculative pipeline had dried up. Our customers rely on us to deliver the facilities they need to operate efficiently, so we decided to continue our measured approach to speculative development with a new wave of buildings in prime locations. The first units are already on site.
Andrew joined Prologis in 2005 as managing director designate and was appointed managing director in 2008. He was previously UK managing director of Gazeley Properties and has worked in the logistics property sector for about 30 years. Andrew has a BSc (Hons) and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Royal Institute of Town Planners.
