SHD Logistics has released a definitive list of the most influential logisticians in the UK. The Logistics 100 - published in our January issue - is measured on a variety of criteria, centred by operational strength.
Here's some new faces and familiar names featured in the 2019 edition.

Paul runs Asda’s toyou parcel pick-up and drop-off service. Launched in 2015, the service partners with over 100 of the UK’s leading online brands.
Associate Director of Supply Chain
Coca-Cola European Partners

Ted Baker London
Gayle is Ted Baker’s Global Carrier Manager, with 15 years’ experience in the retail industry. With a long list of credentials for delivery solutions, Gayle also sits on the board of advisors for IMRGs delivery steer committee.
Chief Operating Officer
Emma joined Clipper as Chief Operating Officer in 2017, and has vast experience in the supply chain, having held roles at Accenture, Marks & Spencer and Unipart over a career spanning 20 years.
Emma has held previous roles in strategic consulting and retail logistics operations. Her responsibilities at Clipper include customer operations, projects, IT delivery, quality implementation and the development of operational innovation. With a wealth of experience in various aspects of the logistics process, she is equipped with fantastic insight and expertise in the industry.
Emma is an incredibly enthusiastic member of the Clipper team, and is passionate about continuing to deliver excellence for Clipper’s growing list of high profile clients.
Bethany Fovargue (Outside Influencer)
Bethany is the Operations Manager of NOVUS, an organisation under the umbrella of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT UK). NOVUS, supported by 26 sponsor companies, inspires the next generation of supply chain professionals across seven leading Universities, providing students with applied, industry-relevant education and graduate employment. As a member of the CILT Women in Logistics Forum’s leadership team, Bethany is a champion of diversity in the sector. She is also a passionate advocate of logistics as a profession of choice and, as such, Bethany was a finalist for the Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Industry Champion Award in 2018.
Senior Director - EMEA Distribution
Nick currently heads Distribution for LEGO in the EMEA Region. Previously he had an 11-year career with Heineken in Austria, Russia, Czech Republic and Hungary in a variety of Supply & Commercial roles.
Chief Operating Officer
A member of ASOS’ Executive Board, Mark Holland oversees ASOS’ Global Trading, Customer Care and Supply Chain functions. He is responsible for the strategic development of the company’s proposition and infrastructure, alongside the management and delivery of significant transformation projects to position the business for further growth.
Becky manages logistics and the supply chain at MATCHESFASHION.COM to support customer experience encompassing online orders, 90-minute delivery, physical stores, private shopping and international events. She has previously held roles at Arcadia Group, ASOS.COM and Worldstores Group.
Kelvin Mantle (Rising Star)
Head of Logistics
For the last 12 months Kelvin has been focused on the opening of Lidl's newest distribution centre in Avonmouth. This was the retailer's first relocation site in the UK and increases its capacity in the region by 70%. It has been both the most challenging and the most exciting project Kelvin has been involved in with Lidl. The next six months will see a focus on ramping up operations at the site by 50% and laying the path for the long term strategic plan for the site.
Supply Chain Director – UK & Western Europe
Sue is European Supply Chain Director for Kimberly-Clark, the FMCG company behind household brands including Andrex, Kleenex and Huggies. She re-joined Kimberly-Clark in 2015, having previously spent 10 years with them before joining Diageo, where she held regional and global Supply Chain and Sales & Operations Planning roles.
Head of Automation Development
Kuehne & Nagel
Mike has spent over 35 years in the automated materials handling industry, for the last few years as a consultant design engineer. He is Director of the Automated Material Handling Systems Association and is President of the British Materials Handling Federation. He is currently working as Head of Innovation for Kuehne + Nagel.
Core Management Logistics
Mark has over 27 years of experience working in the logistics industry. Mark is currently the Managing Director at CML and is responsible for the company’s investment and growth.
