The following statement was released by Dematic yesterday:
"The health and well-being of customers and employees is always our top priority," says Rainer Buchmann, CEO of Dematic CE.
“At a major event such as LogiMAT, it could not be ruled out that visitors to the fair or the stand crew could become infected with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. We have therefore decided to cancel our participation in this important trade fair.”
Despite the mass exit from some of the logistics industries’ biggest players, LogiMAT is set to go ahead next week.
The organiser's website states: “LogiMAT Stuttgart will take place in Stuttgart as planned. You can be assured that the safety and health of our fair participants is our highest priority.”
Other companies rumoured to have cancelled.
SHD Logistics' attendance at the event will be confirmed in due course.
