The move comes days as Amazon was linked to a new fulfilment centre at Harworth’s 400-acre Logistics North site, Bolton, and L’Oreal was tipped to be taking 500,000 sq ft at Peel’s Port Salford site.
Demand from retailers has continued, despite worrying signs about consumer confident. British Retail Consortium figures, released today, show overall fell by 2.2 per cent compared to the same time last year.
Gateway Peterborough has planning consent for 3.5m sq ft. The site is not among the list of Roxhill sites now being progressed jointly with Segro, a Segro spokeswoman confirmed to SHD.
