A long-empty Leeds site is to see a 95,000 sq ft warehouse as part of a mixed development.
The site at Coal Road, Whimoor, next to the A6120, will be developed by Commercial Development Projects (CDP), a division of the Marshall Construction Group. An occupier for the warehouse – believed to be a Yorkshire electrical components supplier – is already thought to be lined up.
CDP have applied for permission for a two industrial builds, along with car parking.
A second unit of 22,000 sq ft will be built speculatively. The site will also see a 2,250 sq ft Starbucks and 3,500 sq ft KFC outlet.
The site is believed to have been undeveloped since the last planning permission was granted in 1990.
