A Lancashire site capable of taking a 132,000 sq ft warehouse is being offered for design-and-build, as developers test demand in the North West logistics property scene.
The site at Haydock, close to the A580 East Lancs Road will test the strength of demand in a market which has already seen more than a dozen speculative shed developments.
Chester-based developers and investors William Fishwick & Son are promoting the site for design-and-build. Colliers International are advising.
The plot, named Arc 130, is located off Kilbuck Lane and accessible via the A580 East Lancs Road, which is itself within one mile of Junction 23 of the M6.
Haydock has established itself as a recognised location for distribution facilities in the North West of England with other occupiers of Haydock Industrial Estate including J Sainsbury, Booker, CostCo and The Book People.
John Sullivan, director, industrial and logistics at Colliers International in Manchester, said: “The ongoing imbalance between limited availability of such prime sites and rising demand for them from potential occupiers in the region’s revitalised industrial and logistics sector leads us to be confident of attracting a high level of interest in Arc 130.”
