Kite hopes for seasonal lift with new product line

Kite hopes for seasonal lift with new product line

Kite Packaging has recently announced a new wave of product launches, specifically targeting businesses who want efficiency and reliability this peak season.

Kite’s range of whiteboard and brown board-backed envelopes are perfect for sending larger documents or items through the post and ensure they do not get bent or creased during transit. They are ideal for important documents, certificates, brochures and much more.

Perfect when needing to send a variety of items in a professional box, our brown postal boxes are made from high-quality single cardboard material. They have a huge range of uses; however have proven an extremely popular choice for e-commerce, mailing and fulfilment companies.

Sturdy and cost-effective, our range of economy archive boxes is the perfect addition to any busy businesses or individuals looking to get organised. Made with single-wall cardboard, the flaps all fold into each other creating a strong three-layered outer.

Lastly, Kite’s premium tape dispenser is quick and easy to use and will increase efficiency is any pick and pack operation. The retractable safety blade cuts only when the plate is pressed against the surface and the noise saver bar minimises unpleasant noise from tape rewinding.

New ‘stretch safe’ system

Another latest product launch, Kite’s ‘Stretch Safe’ system is a manual mobile wrapping system, designed to wrap any pallet under 2 metres in height. Fast, easy to use and highly efficient a key feature of the system is its mobility, something that traditional automated turntable solutions cannot offer. ‘Stretch Safe’ has proved to be popular with customers who have seen increased consumption of hand wrapping film but for whom the volumes required don’t justify the capital investment of a fully automated pallet wrapping system. A spokesman for the company commented, “Research carried out by packaging technologists in our specialist ‘Load-retention’ division identified a great opportunity for a system like ‘Stretch safe’. We have received hugely positive feedback from customers and we see the new system as the perfect addition to our range’.

The system can be used to wrap any pallet load or object as long as there is 600mm of space around the pallet. The tension control allows users to consistently wrap pallets and the system has shown a 40% time saving compared to the traditional method of hand wrapping.

The system also comes with a roping device, this narrows the film until a rope is created, ensuring the pallet is secured from the top and bottom, and the cutting device allows users to simply cut the film once finished.

Used in conjunction with Kite’s high-performance stretch film, exclusively developed by Kite specifically for use with the stretch safe system, it offers high puncture resistance, high holding force, and a 60% stretch to give over 3000 metres of film.

Heavy duty strapping sealers

Warehouse and packing operations are an increasingly vital process for many businesses looking to inject efficiency into their operation and having the right tools for the job is critical to this.

Employee-owned packaging business, Kite Packaging, have extended their range of strapping sealers. Through their leading ‘business to business’ e-commerce packaging website, they provide customers with an outstanding online user experience and a large range of stock product.

The two new heavy duty sealers are designed to be used when sealing 12mm or 166mm serrated seals on polyester strapping. The tools ensure a stronger more efficient seal than a basic sealer and the long metal arms make for easy and fast closure.
