SHD Logistics is delighted to announce that award-winning comedian Holly Walsh will host this year’s edition of The Logistics Awards, taking place on Thursday 20 September at Shakespeare’s Globe, London.
After beginning her career writing for Radio 4 and picking up a host of new comedy award nominations, Walsh has since appeared on TV show favourites such as Mock the Week, Would I Lie to You?, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, QI and Live at the Apollo. She’s also a regular on Radio 4’s News Quiz, The Now Show, and Just A Minute.
In addition to stand-up comedy, Walsh continues to write for radio and TV. She co-wrote Dead Boss with Sharon Horgan for BBC Three in 2012, and the pair then went on to team up with Graham and Helen Linehan to create the acclaimed parenting sitcom, Motherland, in 2016. Walsh is also the creator of her own sitcom, The Other One and has worked with such talents as Frank Skinner, Matt Lucas, Kathy Burke, Julia Davis, and Charlie Brooker.
Walsh’s relaxed, conversational style, her smart observations, use of Venn diagrams and slightly nerdy self-deprecation has won over live audiences at clubs and festivals worldwide.
The Logistics Awards, now in its fifth year, celebrates the best logistics projects over the past 12 months. Taking place at the Shakespeare’s Globe along London’s South Bank, as many as 350 guests from across the UK logistics industry are anticipated to be in attendance.
Retailers Ocado, John Lewis and Sainsbury’s head a stellar list of finalists for this year’s edition. A record number of entries were received for this year’s event, and the winners of each of the 16 award categories will be announced at the awards gala on Thursday 20th September.
This year’s event sponsors include Mentor, Syft, Calor, Continental Tyres, Toyota Material Handling UK and Palletways.
