Harworth Group to develop 350,000 sq ft M1 logistics scheme

The developer has won planning consent for development on a 53-acre site at Bardon Hill, close to junction 22 of the M1 motorway in Leicestershire.

The indicative layout for the outline consent includes the creation of five new industrial units, which can be developed for manufacturing, distribution and roadside uses, delivering hundreds of new jobs to the East Midlands.

Leicestershire is an area of growing interesting to logistics developers anxious for a slice of the action in the fast-moving East Midlands market. Their move into the county is represents a shift of focus for Harworth, better known for their work in the North West and Yorkshire. Harworth is also in the process of delivering  a new residential development of over 2,000 homes in nearby Coalville
