Speculation is mounting that two Hams Hall warehouses are close to letting.
The Works, a book store chain, is tipped to take Black Velvet, the eccentrically-named 170,000 sq ft warehouse developed by Cordea Savills and Canmoor at Coleshill, near Birmingham.
The neighbouring unit – dubbed Silver Bullet (pictured) – totals 140,000 sq ft and is believed to be under offer to a third-party distributor.
Agents report strong demand – and continue shortage of supply – for West Midlands warehouses of 100-200,000 sq ft.
Savills and Jones Lang LaSalle were appointed agents at the site, which is close to a railfreight interchange, in March 2015.
A spokesman for Savills said: “Both buildings are still available. Silver Bullet is complete and Black Velvet is still under construction but there are no further updates on lettings.”
