Developer Stoford is stepping up its big box development plans with a 466,000 sq ft speculative warehouse at Halton.
The development at Ditton Brook, Halton, is being promoted on the back of demand from Jaguar Land Rover suppliers. “Given the proximity to the JLR plant, we hope it will appeal to their supply chain,” said one insider. “We are in detailed discussions and looking at other big box development sites in the North West.”
Consultation on the warehouse plan ends next week.
Midlands-based Stoford and North west-based Ainscough Strategic Land are behind the scheme at Newstead Road. The site has contamination issues.
Halton council is expected to rule on the application in January.
Earlier this week Stoford started construction work at Poundland’s £30m warehouse and distribution unit in South Lancashire.
